Tampa Bay Youth Sports Expo
The Tampa Bay Youth Sport Expo is a positive one day family oriented event on 4/23/2011 9AM - 5PM, that promotes youth sports to kids, parents, coaches and program administrators. The Expo encourages entire family participation and creates a positive fun learning environment for all.
Attendees will have the opportunity to rub shoulders with big league players, top trainers, youth sports experts, participate in interactive sports skills clinics, attend educational workshops, learn about health, fitness conditioning as well as gather information from youth sports organizations and sports products/services.
The Expo represents an innovative approach to addressing the insufficient level of local educational workshops, trainings and resources supporting positive youth sports in the Tampa Bay area. The Skills Center chose to produce the Tampa Bay Youth Sports Expo as a means to raise funds to support the organization’s mission. Proceeds from the Expo allow The Skills Center to provide quality out of school time (afterschool and summer) programs free of charge to Tampa Bay’s underprivileged youth.

The Interactive Skills Zones are a series of scheduled sport clinics / demonstrations for girls and boys ages 6-18. Top area trainers and pros from local organizations provide training in a variety of sports like:

While the kids participate in the skills zones, parents, coaches, and youth program administrators have the opportunity to attend a series of Educational Workshops. Worshops cover topics such as:

The Expo will also include a Youth Sports Expo Exhibit zone showcasing
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and greet current and retired professional athletes and coaches from local professional sport teams such as the Rays, Bucs, Lightning, and Rowdies in the Autograph Zone . |
